The National Medical Commission (NMC)announced the availability of recognised PG Board Speciality seats this year for seat matrix preparation and stated that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) counselling will start "soon."
The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) received 2,828 applications from medical colleges for recognition and renewal of PG medical qualifications last year, according to the most recent notification from the NMC.
According to the commission, the PG medical board has already decided on 1,870 petitions, and the remaining requests are still being processed. Additionally, it stated that based on the NEET 2023 exam held for postgraduate medical admission, the NEET PG counselling 2023 will'soon' start. The available broad speciality seats with the medical colleges that are now accredited and approved will therefore be taken into consideration for admission in the academic year 2023–2024. It further stated that "the medical colleges may reduce the number of seats in special circumstances" and that the seat matrix would be established appropriately.
On March 5, the NEET PG 2023 test was given, and on March 14, the results were released. The NEET PG 2023 scorecard for seats from the All India 50% quota was just posted on the National Board of Examinations (NBE) website, natboard.edu.in. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling procedure for admission to PG medical programmes based on the findings.
