UGC NET Result 2024 Normalisation Process

To ensure a fair evaluation, NTA employs a normalisation process, converting raw marks into a percentile score, particularly accounting for variations in the difficulty levels of different shifts.

Qualifying Marks for UGC NET June Result 2024

To qualify, general category candidates need to secure at least 40% marks, while reserved category candidates are required to achieve a minimum of 35%.

UGC NET Certificates

Candidates who qualify will be awarded one of the following certificates

  • Lectureship Certificate (LS): Valid for life, this certificate allows candidates to apply for Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities.
  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Certificate: Valid for three years from the result date, this certificate enables recipients to pursue research opportunities.

The UGC NET June 2024 examination was held from August 21 to September 4 across 83 subjects, with over 9 lakh candidates appearing for the test. All eyes are now on the results, which will determine eligibility for lectureship and junior research fellowship roles.
