The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the comprehensive schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) counselling rounds on its official website mcc.nic.in.
According to the official timeline, the first round of seat verification by participating institutes is set for November 7, 2024.
NEET PG Round 1 Counselling Timeline 2024
- Choice-Filling: November 8 – November 17
- Choice-Locking: November 17 (4 pm - 11:55 pm)
- Seat Allotment Processing: November 18 – 19
- Results Announcement: November 20
- Reporting: November 21 – 27
- Round 2 Counselling:
Verification of the seat matrix by participating institutes will be held on December 4, with the payment window available from December 4 to 9 (until 3 pm). Candidates can enter their choices between December 5 and 9, with choice locking on December 9 (4 pm - 11:55 pm). Allotment processing is set for December 10 and 11, with results to be released on December 12.
- Round 3 Counselling:
Verification for Round 3 is scheduled on December 26, with the payment period extending from December 26 to January 1, 2025. Choice filling is set for December 27 – 31, with choice locking on January 1 (4 pm - 11:55 pm). Seat allotment processing will occur on January 2 and 3, and results will be announced on January 4. Reporting for Round 3 is scheduled from January 6 to January 13.
- Stray Vacancy Round:
For the stray vacancy round, verification will occur on January 18, followed by payment and choice filling from January 18 to January 21. Choice locking for this round is scheduled for January 21, with seat allotment processing on January 22 and 23. Results will be released on January 24.

- MBBS mark sheets (all professional exams)
- Provisional or degree certificate of MBBS
- Internship completion certificate
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate by MCI
- High school and higher secondary certificates as birth date proof
- Valid photo ID (PAN, Aadhaar, voter ID, Passport, or driving license)
- Relevant category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, OPH, as applicable)
