The Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has announced that the release of the provisional selection list for the second round of Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2024 has been postponed. The list, which was initially scheduled for September 30, will now be issued after 6PM today, October 1. Consequently, the deadline for reporting to the colleges allotted under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round 2 for MBBS and BDS courses has been extended to October 6 until 5.30PM.
Initially, candidates were to fill the retention form with original documents and complete the fee payment between October 1 and October 4. However, due to technical issues, the official notice from the CET cell stated, "This is for the information of all candidates that due to a technical error, the selection list for CAP-2 of MBBS/BDS courses will be declared on 01/10/2024 after 06.00 PM."
The CET cell further indicated that a few government colleges currently undergoing the approval process might receive permission from the National Medical Commission (NMC) to offer admissions for the academic year 2024-25 before the commencement of the third counselling round. This approval is expected to increase the total intake for MBBS courses.
