Rajasthan has topped as a city when it comes to students getting admission to IITs with a 15% success rate. Out of 13,801 candidates who appeared for JEE Advanced 2022 this year from Rajasthan, a total of 2,184 got into IITs.
‘The highest number of candidates bagging IIT seats from Rajasthan hints at the huge JEE coaching industry in Kota. The coaching class culture helping candidates to qualify JEE-Advanced is reflected in numbers of other major states as well but not as concentrated as Kota,’ said IIT Bombay Professor.
The Joint Sear Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducted the JEE-2022 counseling session last month at IIT, Bombay.
Uttar Pradesh ranks 2nd with a total number of 2,131 students getting into IIT. Several candidates from Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh also bagged seats at IITs across India.
