The Indian Army is inviting applications for the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) recruitment 2023. Unmarried male and female law graduates who qualified Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for the Judge Advocate General Branch.
The recruitment is aiming to fill a total of 7 vacancies - 5 posts for men and 2 for females. The duration of training will be 49 weeks and will be conducted at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

All candidates who successfully complete pre-commission training at OTA, Chennai will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma (PG Diploma) in Defence Management and Strategic Studies by University of Madras. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who are 21 to 27 years as on January 1, 2024, born not earlier than January 2, 1997, and not later than January 1, 2003 (both dates included) will be able to apply for the post.
Candidates should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their LLB degree examination. In addition, CLAT PG 2023 score is mandatory for all candidates, for LLM qualified and LLM appearing students. “All candidates desirous of applying for JAG Entry are mandatorily required to get their CLAT PG 2023 result verified at the Selection Centre prior to conduct of SSB,” the notification read.
