This is the last chance for eligible candidates to modify their application forms on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
Easy Steps to Modify GATE 2025 Applications

- Click on ‘Application changes/ modification link for GATE 2025’.
- Log in through the GOAPS portal.
- Make the necessary corrections.
- Pay the applicable correction fee and submit the changes.
GATE 2025 Application Correction Fees
Candidates must pay a correction fee to modify certain details in their application forms. However, not all sections of the form are editable.
Below is a breakdown of fees for various changes:
- Change in name, date of birth, exam cities, or paper selection: INR 500
- Adding a second paper: INR 500 + application fee for the additional paper
- Gender changes:
- Female to any other gender: INR 500 + INR 900 = INR 1400
- Any other gender to female: INR 500
- Category updates:
- SC/ ST to any other: INR 500 (For female or PwD candidates)
- Non-PwD/ Dyslexic to PwD/ Dyslexic: INR 500
GATE 2025 Exam Details
GATE 2025 offers a choice of 30 subjects, allowing candidates to opt for one or two test papers from specified combinations. The exam comprises:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Multiple Select Questions (MSQs)
- Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions
The test assesses candidates' skills in Recall, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, and Synthesis. GATE scores remain valid for three years from the date of result declaration.
