In a significant boost for dental aspirants, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has announced a revision in the NEET MDS 2024 cutoff percentile. This decision aims to allow more students to pursue their dental education and contribute to the healthcare sector.
The qualifying cutoff percentile for NEET MDS 2024 has been reduced by 21.692 across all categories, including General, SC, ST, OBC, and UR-PWD. This revision means more students who previously may not have met the cutoff criteria are now eligible to participate in the counseling process.
The Ministry's decision is expected to help fill vacant seats in MDS programmes, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
Category-wise Previous Cutoff
- General (UR/EWS): 50
- SC/ST/OBC (including PWD): 40
- UR-PWD: 45
Category-wise Revised Cutoff
- General (UR/EWS): 28.308
- SC/ST/OBC (including PWD): 18.308
- UR-PWD: 23.308
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will soon release the revised NEET MDS 2024 results incorporating the new cutoff. Additionally, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct and take necessary actions regarding the counselling process based on the revised results. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website and stay updated on counselling procedures, document verification, and seat allotment processes.
