Indian EdTech company AdmitKard is among the top 20 finalists of the Global Silicon Valley (GSV) Cup, an international pitch competition for EdTech start-ups, to be held as a part of a summit jointly organised by the Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV) Ventures.

ASU and GSV Ventures have been organising the ASU+GSV summit annually to bring the best minds in the field of education together since 2010.

AdmitKard will be competing against other pre-seed and seed-stage start-ups in digital learning sphere that cater to “Pre-K to Gray” learners. Powered by Google Cloud, HubSpot for Start-ups, HolonIQ and GSV Ventures, the GSV Cup will give the 20 companies a chance at winning up to USD 1 million in cash and kinds.

“GSV is so proud to recognize an epic group of global EdTech founders as our final 20,” said Deborah Quazzo, managing partner of GSV Ventures and Co-founder of ASU+GSV Summit. “These companies have been rigorously evaluated by a judging panel exceeding 90 top venture investors. Congratulations to all,” she added.

Over 750 companies from around the globe had submitted their pitches, out of which the 200 semi-finalists were shortlisted. The top 20 out of the 200 semi-finalists were shortlisted as finalists for the live pitch on Stage X at the ASU+GSV 13.0 Summit.

To make the selection process fair, over 175 judges from leading venture capital firms like Accel, Reach Capital, General Atlantic and Owl Ventures were appointed. The judges, based on rigorous criteria, chose the GSV Cup Top 20 companies that will be competing at the summit.
