AWS Cloud stated on Friday that the University of Delhi is using it to facilitate the adoption of Samarth eGov, an open-source automation e-governance platform, throughout India's universities and higher education institutions (HEIs), with the goal of digitising 500 HEIs by the end of the year.
More than 200 universities and HEIs in India, including more than 40 national and state universities and more than 100 colleges, have already adopted Samarth eGov.
By 2023, the deployment of Samarth eGov is anticipated to reach more than 500 HEIs. Samarth eGov is created as an open-source, highly flexible, networked, secure, and scalable platform, delivered on a software-as-a-service paradigm with a cloud-first approach on AWS, according to Professor Sanjeev Singh, Joint Director, University of Delhi South Campus.
Students can quickly access basic information about courses, eligibility requirements, registration, admission, and tuition payments online thanks to Samarth eGov.
According to the Cloud company, educational institutions may improve student outcomes by automating tasks like scheduling classes and freeing up teachers' time to concentrate on instructional activities like creating customised lessons depending on students' performance.
