How to Register for SAT India 2024

  2. Create an account by completing the required fields with the candidate’s personal and academic details along with college preferences.
  3. Select the preferred SAT exam date and nearest test centre.
  4. While not mandatory, uploading a clear, recent photograph is recommended.

Exam Eligibility for SAT 2024

  • The exam is open to high school students or those who have completed high school. It is common for students in grades 11 and 12 to register for the test.
  • A registration fee of USD 138.98 is required, although fee waivers are available for eligible low-income students.
  • A valid photo ID must be presented at the test centre on exam day.

Exam Pattern of SAT 2024

The SAT 2024 consists of two sections: Reading & Writing, and Math. The exam format includes multiple choice questions and student-produced responses. The math section comprises 75% multiple choice questions and 25% student-produced responses, while the Reading & Writing section assesses skills across four domains: Craft and Structure, Information and Ideas, Standard English Conventions, and Expression of Ideas.

Initially conducted as a pencil-paper test, the SAT transitioned to a digital format in 2023. Now categorised as a computer-adaptive test, the digital SAT features a mix of multiple choice questions and student-produced responses. The exam is 2 hours and 14 minutes long, with a 10-minute break. Notably, there is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted questions.
