After days of anticipation, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has revealed the much-awaited results and top ten merit list today, June 6.
The competition was fierce with over one lakh students taking the exams this year from different education boards.

After days of anticipation, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has revealed the much-awaited results and top ten merit list today, June 6 at the press conference. The competition was fierce with over one lakh students taking the exams this year from different education boards. The merit list acknowledges the brightest of minds.

This year, a total of 1,13,492 students appeared for the examination, where 1,12,963 passed bringing the total pass percentage to 99.53%.

Board-Wise Pass Percentage

  • WBCHSE - Out of the 61,819 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 61,575 passed bringing the pass percentage to 99.60%.
  • CBSE - Out of the 32,045 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 31,883 passed bringing the pass percentage to 99.40%.
  • CISCE (ISC) - Out of the 7,621 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 7,595 passed bringing the pass percentage to 99.60%.
  • Others - Out of the 12,007 candidates who had appeared for the exam, 11,910 passed bringing the pass percentage to 99.10%.

Out of the top 10 students who are part of the merit list, four of them belong to the WBCHSE (West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education), four are from the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and the rest two are from CISCE (Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations).

Kingshuk Patra, Shubhradeep Paul, Avik Das, Shounak Kar securing the first, second, seventh, and ninth rank respectively are from WBCHSE. Irradri Basu Khaund, Mayukh Chowdhury, Atharva Singhania, Bijit Moish securing the fourth, fifth, eighth, and tenth rank respectively are from CBSE. Finally, Bibaswan Biswas, Ritam Banerjee securing the third, and sixth rank respectively are from CISCE Board .
