The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Term-II board exams for Classes X and XII will begin on April 26.
The CBSE had announced in 2021 that board examinations for 2022 will be conducted in two terms. Term I exams have already been held.
The CBSE Term II exams for Class X will be held from April 26 to May 24. The exams will begin at 10.30am and end at 11.30am or 12.30pm depending on the subject-wise duration.
The CBSE Term II exams for Class XII will be held from April 26 to June 15. The exams will begin at 10.30am and end at 11.30am, 12pm or 12.30pm depending on the subject-wise duration.
The CBSE Term II date sheet allows a considerable gap between two exams, keeping in mind that the schools were closed for a long time because of the pandemic.
“As the schools were closed due to pandemic which has led to learning losses, therefore, more gap has been given between the two examinations in almost all the subjects in both the classes,” the circular said.
The dates of other competitive examinations, including JEE Main, have been taken into consideration while drawing up the timetable.
“The date sheets have been prepared by avoiding nearly 35,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subject examinations of a student fall on the same date,” it said.
