The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 practical and theory exams on its official website. The board has also issued a circular in this regard.
According to the circular, the practical examination for classes 10 and 12 will begin on January 1, 2025, while the theory examination will begin on February 15, 2025.
However, the board has not yet issued the detailed date sheet of the examination. The detailed date sheet is expected soon on the official website. Going by the previous year’s trends, the board is expected to release the detailed date sheet for the theory and practical examinations in December 2024.
The board has also issued a detailed subject-wise marks distribution for the theory and practical examination. The marks distribution has been issued to help schools in conducting both the theory and practical examinations smoothly.
“It has been observed that schools sometimes make mistakes while uploading the marks in respect of Practical/Project/Internal Assessment. To aid and assist the schools in smooth conduct of Practical/Project/internal Assessment and conduct of Theory Examinations, a list of subjects for Classes X and XIl containing the following details is attached,” read the circular issued by the board.
The marks distribution list includes the Class, Subject Code, Subject Name, Maximum marks in theory examination, Maximum marks in practical examination, Maximum marks in project assessment and Maximum marks in internal assessment, among others.
“Maximum marks allotted to each subject is 100 (One Hundred) with marks distribution among theory, practical, project and IA components as per the details given in the list,” the circular mentioned.
