Historically, the BSEB has announced the final exam dates in December, with last year’s dates being declared on December 4. In 2024, the class 12 exams took place from February 1 to 12, while the class 10 exams were held from February 15 to 23. Intermediate exams were conducted in two shifts – from 9.30AM to 12.45PM and 2PM to 5.15PM – while Matric exams were held in a single shift.
Practical exams for class 12 students in 2024 were conducted from January 10 to January 20, while practicals and internal assessments for class 10 students took place from January 18 to 20.
The 2024 results for Intermediate students were declared on March 23, with an overall pass percentage of 87.21%, the highest in the past five years. Female students outperformed their male counterparts with a pass percentage of 88.84%, compared to 85.69% for boys. Out of 6,22,217 girls who appeared, 5,52,783 passed, while 5,73,656 out of 6,69,467 boys cleared the exam.
For class 10, the Matric results were announced on March 31, with 16,64,252 students appearing for the exam, and 13,79,842 clearing it. The overall pass percentage stood at 82.91%.
