The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application correction window for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December session 2024. Candidates who have applied for the exam can make necessary changes to their UGC NET 2024 application form through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Steps to Correct the UGC NET Application Correction Form 2024

1. Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Click on the ‘Correction Window of Online Application Form’ link.
3. Log in with the candidate’s application number, password, and security pin.
4. Select the ‘Correction in Application Form’ option.
5. Read the instructions and check the agreement box.
6. Make the necessary corrections.
7. Pay any additional fee, if required.
8. Save and submit the updated form.

• Notification Release: November 19, 2024
• Application Submission: November 19 to December 11, 2024 (up to 11:59 PM)
• Application Fee Payment Deadline: December 12, 2024 (up to 11:59 PM)
• Correction Window: December 13 to December 14, 2024 (up to 11:59 PM)

Restrictions on UGC NET December Application Corrections 2024

Candidates verified through Aadhaar cannot edit:

• Name
• Gender
• Photo
• Signature
• Mobile number
• Email address
• Permanent/correspondence address
• Exam city

However, changes are permitted in:

• Date of birth
• Category
• Father's name
• Mother's name

Similarly, those who have not used Aadhaar for verification face identical restrictions but can edit the same fields as above.

The UGC NET December session exam will take place from January 1 to January 19, 2025, across 85 subjects. The exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor roles, and PhD admissions.
