Over the past quarter-century, the centre has established itself as a beacon of research and innovation in the field of Neurodevelopmental Disorders. To mark this momentous occasion, the institution hosted a high-profile seminar, bringing together leading scientists, educators, and practitioners to delve into groundbreaking advancements in brain therapy, cognitive treatments, and neurofeedback.

Adding to the event's prestige, Dr Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner for East and Northeast India, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sharing a deeply personal anecdote, Dr Fleming revealed how he struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia during his school years, underscoring the critical need for awareness and support for children with special needs. “This cause is close to my heart,” he remarked, moving the audience with his heartfelt words.

Dr Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director of the British Council, East and Northeast India, attended as a Special Guest. The seminar’s highlight was an enthralling keynote address delivered by Padma Shri Professor K Vijayraghavan, former Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India and ex-Director of the National Centre for Biological Sciences. Titled How the Brain Makes the Mind, his presentation captured the audience’s imagination as he traced the evolution of human cognition from its earliest stages to the present era marked by Artificial Intelligence.
