IIT Kharagpur recently organised Kshitij 2024, a fest featuring over 20 competitions and boasting a remarkable prize pool of Rs 35 Lakh. The participants immersed themselves in a diverse range of challenging contests which evaluated both their technical prowressand manegerial skills throughout the three days of the fest.
The fest offered the students a diverse array of competitions ranging from robotics, coding, data science, finance and entrepreneurship. In addition to this, Kshitij also featured Gamefest with intense esports battles and unique quizzes.
Several government organisations like DRDO and Indian Navy also displayed their exhibits at the fest.
The inaugural session of the fest was graced by Mr G Satheesh Reddy, Former Chairperson, Defence Research and Development Organisation. The best part of the first day was the moment Kebbi robot took the centre stage and delivered a speech, seamlessly blending technology and human interaction.
Tracer took the stage for a sensational EDM night, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
The second day of the fest commenced with Defence Talks by the Indian Navy where the participants gained valuable insights, explored hands-on workshops and were part of a LAD Talk by Vice Admiral Biswajit Das Gupta (retd). The day also included an engaging Actors Roundtable featuring Sunny Hinduja.
The third day of the fest commenced with a high-profile Tech Summit where notable figures including Dr SK Pal, Director of the Indian Statistical Institute, Mr D Sivanandan, Ex chairman of CBI and Mr Sandeep Jain, the founder of GeeksforGeeks. The fest culminated in a star-studded Bollywood night, headlined by Anshika Pandey and Aastha Gill.
