Ranked in the 4th position in the under-13 lineup for the World and India in Table Tennis, Syndrela Das is highly focused towards her dream of representing the nation and is ensuring that there is no stone left unturned when it comes to training, grit and determination.
Sharing her experience of being the 18 under 18 winners, Syndrela says, “I felt really proud and nice because winning The Telegraph Online Edugraph’s 18 under 18 award makes me feel happy because there were many competitors from all over India and I made it to the top 18 amongst all.”
Syndrela is like no other kid. She already has her eyes on the prize and is striving towards it head-on, while defeating opponents and outplaying competitors at international tournaments like World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender 2022 in the U13 category. Sydnerela’s path to her tryst with success has already been laid out.
Speaking about her aspirations, she says, “My dream is to win the Olympic gold medal for India, and to be the first woman to do so in the field of table tennis.”
For someone her age, the level of resoluteness in fulfilling her dreams is demonstrated by the effort she is putting in. She trains for four hours in the morning followed by light sessions in the evening. Amidst her practice, she also catches up on her schoolwork.
“This award has helped me and given me more courage and the motivation - Yes! I can do it! It has boosted my confidence to continue pursuing my dream. I felt really happy upon receiving the award and I believe in myself and that I can achieve my goals”, she concluded.
