For some, sports are about winning but Shruti’s grit for artistic gymnastics is something which keeps her happy and gives her a sense of fulfilment whenever she sets foot in the arena.

Started her training at the age of 5, her love for artistic gymnastics led her to receive several certificates of merit from institutions like the CISCE, New Delhi; West Bengal State, South 24 Paraganas district and more.

Speaking of her experience of being one of the 18 under 18 winners earlier this year, Shruti said, “I am really grateful and it was a fun experience. The environment was quite nice and it was encouraging to attend this kind of event.”

“The moment my name was called on stage it was very special to me and I will always remember it”, adds Shruti who came back from her international practice and is aiming to be one of the best gymnasts this country has ever seen.

“I was eager to know whether I made it to the winners' list, and when I got the news that I was one of those winners, I was really happy and excited to receive the award”, recalls Shruti.

In addition to striving towards excellence in artistic gymnastics, Shruti’s winning streak is not just limited to one thing. She has also excelled in performing arts as one of the recipients of the national school award in Kathak. With learning Kathak and playing the tabla, Shruti is adding more feathers to her cap.
