In a significant development for lakhs of students, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally announced the rescheduled dates for the much-awaited UGC NET 2024 and Joint CSIR NET 2024 examinations. The announcement comes after the originally scheduled NTA exams were postponed or cancelled due to alleged irregularities.
The UGC NET June 2024 exam, initially held on June 18, was cancelled by the Ministry of Education following concerns regarding a possible paper leak. CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam, originally scheduled for June 25 to June 27, was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and logistic issues.
New Exam Dates
It is important to note that unlike the June session which was conducted offline for the first time, the rescheduled UGC NET exam will revert to the earlier Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. This means the exam will be conducted online over a period of two weeks.
This announcement by NTA brings much-needed relief to the large number of students who were preparing for the UGC NET and CSIR NET exams.
