The environment at The Heritage School was beaming with excitement and anticipation as the stage was set for the inaugural session for one of the biggest inter-school fest in the city. 'Youthopia 2024' was declared open on Thursday morning at The Heritage School in the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries.
Students bearing the scorching summer could be seen queueing up in front of the registration counters to enroll themselves in this grant event. 'Youthopia 2024' will continue over the next three days and will conclude on April 20.
Students from nearly 16 schools across the city will be participating in around 50 indoor and outdoor games and cultural events.
The participating schools include La Martiniere School for Girls, The BSS School, DPS Ruby Park, South City International School, The Future Foundation School, St Xavier's Collegiate School among others.
Ms Seema Sapru, the Principal of The Heritage school applauded the continuous effort of the students in making the event as grand success.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by a classical dance show by the students of the school.
"Youthopia was started in 2010 and is now one of the most happening events in the city. Our students are working hard to make this event a grand success. It is a student-led programme. We just support them," said Ms Sapru.
"It is an event where students learn many new things including administrative, negotiating and marketing skills. It is an experiential learning process. They engage with students from other schools, make new bonds of friendships with them during this fest," Ms Sapru added.
