In uncertain situations, it is important to know how to manoeuvre yourself back to safety. To help equip women with essential self-defence skills, the Chaitown Community at Jodhpur Park is hosting a free Women’s Self-Defence Workshop. Led by coach Steven Ellis from Montana, who is also the resident Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach at the community organisation, this workshop aims to empower attendees with basic self-defence techniques.
Over two weeks and four classes, Steven will cover fundamentals like grip breaks, proper stances and various defensive positions. The workshop will also introduce striking techniques, including heel palm strikes, elbow strikes and push-kicks — all from a self-defence perspective. Additionally, situational awareness will be an essential focus of the sessions.
To sign up for this free workshop, DM Chaitown Community on Instagram or message Ellis on +91 91470 49582.
