The 17th edition of the ABP Ananda Sera Bangali Award honoured nine individuals from various walks of life with the prestigious felicitation. This year, the ceremony saw eight categories, namely, Acting, Business, Sports, Music, Literature, Art, Lifetime Achievement and Serar Sera Bangali. The event held at ITC Royal Bengal on November 17, saw distinguished guests such as Srijit Mukherji, Sourav Ganguly, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty and Ankush Hazra, among others, in attendance.

Shreya Ghoshal started off the evening with her captivating version of Sunn raha hai na tu and continued to charm the audience. The singer looked angelic in a white net sari with intricate embroidery. She was joined by singer Kinjal Chatterjee. The duo entertained the guests to the fullest as the anticipation around the awards was palpable. Songs like Ami je tomar, Manwa lage, Piyu bole and Teri ore were sung by the duo, with the audience, too, singing along a couple of times.

Shreya Ghoshal mesmerised the crowd at ITC Royal Bengal as she opened the show at the Sera Bangali Awards 2023. She sang some Bengali favourites like Chawl rastaye, Baundule ghuri and Pherari mon. The gifted singer continued to win hearts as she sang some Bollywood hits like Deewani mastani, Sunn raha hai and Ghoomar

Following a coffee break post the performance, the spectators reconvened to witness history write itself as the award ceremony commenced.

Actress Priyanka Sarkar hosted the evening with a beaming smile and infectious energy.

Space Application Scientist of ISRO who was a part of Chandrayaan 3, Debajyoti Dhar received the Serar Sera Bangali Award which was presented to him by Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly himself has been an esteemed recipient of the Serar Sera Bangali Award in the past.
