The latest and 14th round of India-China military talks on Wednesday failed to achieve any breakthrough with the Chinese refusing to disengage from the friction points in eastern Ladakh, sources said on Thursday.
India had at the 13-hour talks pressed for early disengagement from the remaining friction points but the Chinese declined to budge, an official told The Telegraph.
An India-China joint statement on Thursday said: “The two sides had a frank and in-depth exchange of views…. They agreed that both sides should follow the guidance provided by the state leaders and work for the resolution of the remaining issues at the earliest.”
