An undergraduate aspirant whose name features on the merit list following the publication of college-wise and programme-wise merit lists and seat allotment details on July 12, may take admission during a July 12-18 window by making payment, the higher education department said.
The department on Friday released the round 1 merit list for the centralised admission portal where candidates applied and registered between June 24 and July 7.
“Candidates will take admission against the allotted seat. Students will be given an option for up-gradation, if any, at the time of taking admission. Candidates willing to
get admitted may pay admission fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking/QR Code/UPI as per their choice,” said the department’s release.
Following successful payment, the candidate will be considered to have been provisionally admitted, and he or she may download a provisional admission receipt
from the students’ dashboard, said an official of the department.
For those who will opt for the upgradation round, institution-wise and course-wise seat allotment will be published on July 23.
Students will be able to check the allotment from their dashboard.
This allotment will be available for students who opt for the upgradation option at the time of taking admission and those students who were in the merit panel but not allotted any seat, the official said.
Candidates whose names will feature in the July 23 merit list, may take admission against seat allotment in the upgradation round between July 23 and July 26.
“It is to be noted that if after upgradation a student is allotted a seat in a college with higher admission fees than the previous one, then only the residual amount is to be paid by the student. In a case of allotment of a seat to a college
with lower admission fees than the previous one, the student will not have to pay any amount.
“The extra amount will be refunded to the account number mentioned by the candidate during application, after the entire admission process gets over,” said the department’s release.
These candidates will visit the respective colleges with the final provisional admission receipt for physical verification between July 30 and August 6.
First-year classes will start from August 7.
