The ICSE council has revised, updated and added to laboratory requirements for ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) through a circular sent to heads of affiliated schools.
“The CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) has revised, updated, and added more documents on laboratory requirements in schools for the various subjects offered at the ICSE & ISC levels. These documents will be useful for both, new schools and for the existing schools. The existing schools may refer to these documents and upgrade their laboratories,” said the circular sent on Friday.
The circular said the documents would help schools who wish to introduce new subjects, artificial intelligence and robotics. The links to the revised documents have been sent to the schools.
The council said the revised documents would provide guidelines to schools regarding “basic material and equipment” required for the conduct of practicals in school laboratories.
“Proper apparatus in laboratories helps students to correlate with the theories that are taught in class,” said Terence John, director of education and development, Julien Day Schools.
