“Details of the websites, text messaging service and apps will soon be uploaded on the council’s website,” said an official.

The mark sheets and pass certificates will be distributed to the heads of the institutions or their authorised representatives from 11am on May 31 from the respective camp offices of the council.

“The school heads should hand over the mark sheets and pass certificates to the students as early as possible,” Mukherjee said.

Education minister Bratya Basu tweeted the date of the declaration of the HS results hours before the council issued the statement.

The school-leaving exams started on March 14 and continued till March 27. More than 800,000 students took the exams at 2,349 venues.

This was the examinees’ first public exam.

In 2021, when they were in Class X, no board exam could be held because of a sharp rise in the number of Covid cases.

Last year, the HS results were announced on June 10.

“This year the results are being published earlier so the candidates get adequate time to prepare for undergraduate admissions,” said an official of the council.

The results of Madhyamik 2023 will be announced on May 19.
