Fitness, humour, simple living and self-reliance, content creation and entrepreneurship were some of the diverse fields explored at Ensemble Valhalla, the three-day annual cultural, sports, and management festival hosted by XLRI - Xavier School of Management.
The theme of this year’s fest was Realm of Dreams — Build your own reality.
The major attractions on Day 1 were the Idea Summit and Pro Shows. A fitness panel — actress and anchor Mandira Bedi, actress and model Preeti Jhangiani, and entrepreneur Sahil Pruthi shared how they adopted the fitness journey and the positive changes it brought about in their lives.
Next up was a performance by comedian Rahul Dua, who had the audience in splits with his witty lines and side-splitting set made the crowd uproar with laughter. The day ended on a soulful note with a performance by singer Bhuwin Khursija.
The second day saw the keynote address being delivered by social activist Medha Patkar. She spoke about how simple living and self-reliance is the need of the hour.
The cast of popular web series Paatal Lok — Jaideep Ahlawat, Sudip Sharma, Abhishek Benarjee and Lyra — discussed the importance of a good script for the success of a movie or series.
The OTT panel saw Ayush Mehra, Revathi Pillai among others talk about their experiences as actors and how social media has influenced the “influencers” and their careers. The day ended with a performance by singer Ash King that had the students grooving.
On Day 3, a content-creator panel with YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, social media influencer Radhika Bangia, stand-up comedian Viraj Gehlani, mentalist and magician Suhani Shah and Savi and Vid of Bruised Passport fame spoke about recent trends incentivising the creation of more shareable, attention-grabbing content that also helps spread awareness among the masses.
In Leadership Talks, Girish Kamath and Ravish Jain of Picsart India shared their insights into the photo, video editing app industry, technologies and how the recent pandemic has impacted the industry as a whole and the way forward.
Idea Summit 2022 ended with an entrepreneurship panel that included eminent founders of some of the biggest unicorn start-ups of India — Amit Kumar of No Broker; Farid Ahsan of ShareChat; Ishan Bansal of Groww; Varun Alagh of Mamaearth and Dhaval Shah of PharmEasy. The speakers shared their personal lessons and insights and spoke about what it takes to be a leader.
The fest ended with a showdown performance by playback singer Javed Ali who left the audience mesmerised with his soulful performance.
