Hyderabad-based Woxsen University has partnered with Monmouth University, New Jersey, in the US, to undertake a social impact project 'Woxsen-Monmouth Elevate Programme' – a six-month programme that will work towards uplifting underprivileged students from schools across Telangana.
The programme was initiated by the Student Wellness Cell which collaborated with the Centre for International Relations at Woxsen University. The collaborative mission has the vision of offering support to the weaker sections of the society. The goals of the programme align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It also aligns with the Ethics, Responsibility & Sustainability (ERS) approach of international accreditation bodies which Woxsen University holds membership of.
The programme is set to impact the lives of more than 200 school students from the Kamkole, Buddhera, Lingampally, Digwal, Kohir, Melasangam, Ibrahimpur, Sadasivpet and Zaheerabad areas of Telangana, Woxsen University stated in a press communique.
The project outcomes would be to provide children with the resources they need to exercise their right to quality education; reduce inequality in educational access; provide children with access to a global platform and opportunities, and raise awareness of children's well-being.
To meet these project goals and give students access to the basic right to education, the two entities are taking various steps.
Under the Woxsen-Monmouth Elevate Programme, a fundraiser has been arranged. Those willing to donate can visit the project website and donate any amount. The funds gathered will go towards providing basic education to children in need.

The collaborative programme will be providing economic and academic aid to the recipient schools. Aside from infrastructural support, recorded lectures to aid teaching facilities, transportation facilities, sports materials and stationery to boost learning will be provided to students through the schools. The project will also assist in Covid-relief measures.
Along with the regular school curriculum, the project will teach students additional subjects like the English language, financial literacy, mathematics and computer foundations. They will also be taught basic life skills and building social dynamics.
To develop innovative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking, the programme will develop co-curricular activities and engage them in creative opportunities.
