The admission process at the World University of Design (WUD) is underway and the institute has announced the date of the advanced round of entrance examinations. For all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes offered by the institute for 2022, the entrance exam will be held on April 2.

Keeping in mind the disruption to the education sector caused by the pandemic, WUD has decided to conduct the examinations online. This is to ensure that students from around the country can appear for the exam without causing disruptions to their schedules.

The UG degree courses offered by WUD this year are Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), Bachelor of Arts (BA Honours) and Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA).

WUD also offers a plethora of diploma programmes in Fashion Design, Graphic & Web Design, Photography, Professional Automotive Modelling, Painting, Disaster Resilient Planning & Design and Film Acting.

Students who have all-India ranks in the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) and the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) do not need to appear for the entrance examination. They can directly appear for the portfolio and interview rounds that are to take place from April 6-15.

Looking forward to students returning to campus after two years, Sanjay Gupta, vice-chancellor, WUD, said, “It is our endeavour to make quality design education available to students of India and allow them to hone their creative skills under the supervision of our expert faculty array. Design graduates have a bright future and to avail every bit of talent from this cohort, WUD offers merit-based scholarships to the all-India rank holders in CEED and UCEED. Students can visit the university website to check its scholarship policy for 2022 intake.”

“Keeping in mind the pressure on students owing to upcoming board examinations and various other national entrance examinations, we have planned to keep this round in an online mode,” said Ankit Garg, head of outreach & admissions, WUD.
