The West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) 2022 examination dates are once again clashing with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 dates.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the JEE, announced a revised schedule for JEE Main 2022, which will now be held on April 21, 24, 25 and 29 and May 1 and 4.
The Statistics, Geography, Costing and Taxation, Home Management and Family Resource Management group exams of HS 2022 are scheduled to be held on April 25. These exams were earlier to be held on April 18 but the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) rescheduled it to April 25 since students who have taken Statistics may have Physics, Chemistry and Maths and may have applied for JEE Main. The NTA had earlier said that JEE Main would be held from April 16 to 21.
THE NTA has said that the JEE Main 2022 dates have been revised based on requests from candidates who said their board exam dates were clashing with the JEE Main dates. But for Class XII board exam students in West Bengal, this may have brought more uncertainty.
“The HS exams will begin on April 2 as scheduled but the dates of certain papers, slated for April-end, have been revised,” Chiranjib Bhattacharya, the president of WBCHSE, had said.
