Madhyamik Exam 2024: WBBSE opens application window for scrutiny, review of answer sheets

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, has opened the application window for students of Madhyamik Exam 2024, who wish to apply for Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) and Post Publication Review (PPR) of their answersheets. The entire process will be conducted online through the board's website www.wbbsedata.com.

The board has instructed all the heads of the institutions to visit the website (on and from 12 noon on May 2) and follow the 'Instruction' tab for details of login and application process.

The application process will continue till midnight of May 18, 2024 and WBBSE will not be entertaining any application after the window closes.

Students will have to submit their application to the head of the institution in which he/she belongs, on plain paper. The student will have to clearly state his/her name, Roll Number, Subject(s) for which the candidate is seeking PPS/PPR. Along with this application, students will also have to submit a photocopy of the Marksheet and application fee.

Successful candidates may apply for Post Publication Scrutiny and will have submit a fee of Rs 80 per subject while unsuccessful candidates may apply for Post Publication Review and the fee has been fixed at Rs 100 per subject.

In case of PPR the board will assess the particular answerscript while in PPS the answersheet will be scrutinised and re-totalling will be done.

The board has also announced that the schools may charge Rs 2 (two) in cash per candidates to meet the incidental expenses (if necessary).

All applications for scrutiny of answer sheets will have to be submitted online through the school and the board will not accept any online application from individual candidates.
