The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) starts accepting applications for available positions and opens an application portal. Candidates who have successfully passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) may apply for a position on wbbpeonline by clicking the "Application for Recruitment 2022" link. On 14 November 2022, at midnight, registration will end.

There are currently 11,765 open positions, 86 of which will be eliminated per the court's decision. For general applicants, the application cost is Rs 150; for OBC-A and OBC-B candidates, it is Rs 100; and for SC, ST, and PH candidates, it is Rs 50. The candidates will be hired in accordance with the 2016 WBBPE Recruitment Rules.

It is hereby announced to all parties involved that, in accordance with the Hon'ble High Court of Calcutta's order, online applications for recruitment are invited from TET qualified trained candidates, including the candidates who will be appearing for the session 2020-2022 in DElEd, special DEd, and BEd courses, against state-wide vacancies for appointment to the posts of assistant teacher in government, government-aided, sponsored, junior, and basic primary schools, against 11,765 number of openings, stated in the official notification.
