The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has revised the timing of the Madhyamik Examination 2024. The board has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification, the Madhyamik Examination will now begin at 9.45 am and will end at 1 pm.
Earlier, the examination was set to begin at 11.45 am and conclude at 3 pm. The exam is scheduled to begin on February 2 and will continue till February 12. Here it is to be noted that only the timing of the examination has been changed and there will be no changes in the dates of the exam.
The decision was taken following a meeting between the state administration and the Board at Nabanna, the state secretariat, although the reason behind the change has not been revealed yet.
On the other hand, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has also revised the timing of the Higher Secondary Examination scheduled to begin on February 16. The examination will now be held from 9.45 am to 1 pm (3 hours and 15 minutes) for all subjects except the vocational subjects, Visual Art, Music and Health and Physical Education. The timing for these examinations has been fixed from 9.45 am to 11.45 am.
