The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will shut down the Civil Services (Preliminary) examination 2023 registration window today, 21 February. Applicants can apply online for the UPSC IAS exam 2023 by visiting the official website: upsc.gov.in. UPSC is accepting applications for filling up 1,105 vacancies in IAS.

The Civil Services Prelim exam form correction window will be open from 22 to 28 February. The Prelims exam will take place on 28 May, whereas the Mains exam will take place on 15 September 2023.

The UPSC IAS exam recruitment procedure consists of three stages - prelims, mains and interview. According to the IAS exam paper pattern, the Prelims exam has multiple choice questions (MCQ). Whereas the Mains exam has descriptive-type questions.

UPSC IAS 2023 application: How to apply

  • Go to the official website: upsc.gov.in.
  • On their homepage, tap on the link which reads “Exam Notification: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023”.
  • Fill up the UPSC CSE application form with all the relevant details, upload the required documents and pay your fees.
  • Now download the application confirmation page and take a printout of it to keep it saved for future references.
