The faculty of engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is offering international scholarships for applicants joining various taught postgraduate degree programmes in January 2022. Candidates who are self-funded and belong to non-European Union countries will be able to apply for the scholarship if they have excellent academic qualifications. The last date for application is January 17.
Candidates must be selected for a full-time postgraduate course for the January 2022-session before applying for the scholarship. The scholarship is equivalent to a 15% reduction in the tuition fees of any postgraduate taught degree programme. The scholarship amount will be around GBP 3,280. However, the amount will vary depending upon the programme tuition fee. The tuition fee for programmes including Architecture and Biomedical Engineering is different from other programmes.
Other scholarships are offered by the university under the Dean’s International Excellence Awards. These scholarships are worth GBP 5,000 and GBP 8,000 offered to students joining postgraduate taught programmes. The scholarships are given to students performing exceptionally well with a first-class in the undergraduate programme. The last date for application for the Dean’s International Excellence Awards is November 30, 2021. If selected for the award, candidates will have to pay the deposit within three weeks of notification to retain the scholarship.
For both the scholarships, candidates will have to submit only one application. Students are offered any one of the scholarships per academic year.
The subjects offered in the postgraduate taught programme are Architecture, chemical and process engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil and environmental engineering, Electronic and electrical engineering, Design manufacture and engineering management, Naval architecture ocean and marine engineering and Mechanical and aerospace engineering.
