The University of Delhi is set to release the list of vacant seats for the second round of undergraduate admissions, today, August 22, 2024. The list will be available on the CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in.
Starting today, candidates will be able to view the list of available seats on their dashboards after the first round of admissions concludes. This marks the beginning of the second phase of the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) for the 2024-25 academic session at University of Delhi.
As per a PTI report, in this phase, students will be given the option to re-order their preferred college and course combinations. The window to make these adjustments will open at 5PM on August 22 and remain accessible until 4.59PM on August 23.
The deadline for making the online payment to secure admission in this second round is August 30, up until 4.59PM.
For the first phase of CSAS, 2,45,287 candidates applied, out of which 1,85,543 students submitted their preferences. In this phase, the university received a staggering 1,72,18,187 preference combinations.
According to an official statement released on Tuesday, over 46,000 students have secured admission to Delhi University’s 71,600 undergraduate seats in the first round.
Classes for the academic session 2024-25 for undergraduate students will begin on August 29.
The university’s data reveals that around 11,224 students have ‘freezed’ their chosen college and course combinations, indicating they are finalising their decisions. On the other hand, 27,613 students have opted for an upgrade, seeking changes in their allocated course and college preferences, reported the PTI.
In the first round, which ends at 4.59PM today, a total of 83,678 students accepted the offered course and college combinations. Out of these, as of 5PM on Tuesday, 46,171 students confirmed their admission by paying the necessary fees. The last date to make this payment was August 21.
