The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally released the result and qualified candidates list for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II), 2024 written exam. Candidates who appeared for the exam on September 1, 2024, can now check their results on the official UPSC website.
Steps to Check UPSC CDS II Result
- Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
- Look for the ‘What's New’ section on the homepage.
- Click on the link for ‘Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (II).’
- A PDF containing qualified candidates' roll numbers will be displayed.
- Download the same for future reference.
The 8796 shortlisted candidates will be called in for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. However, it must be noted that the shortlisting is provisional. The Commission will conduct a thorough verification of the eligibility and suitability of each candidate, and then release the schedule for the Interview in due course. The SSB interview is a process that assesses candidates' personality, intelligence, and leadership qualities. After the interview process, UPSC will release the final merit list of selected candidates. The marksheets will be uploaded by the Commission on its website within 15 days from the final result publication date of the OTA course.
The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Indian Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers' Training Academy (OTA) for men and women. The exam comprises three papers: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics.
