For the academic sessions starting in January-February 2023, the University Grants Commission (UGC) approved three additional Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to offer courses via distance and online learning. Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences (Himachal Pradesh), Vivekananda Global University (Rajasthan), and Galgotias University are the HEIs that have received UGC approval (Uttar Pradesh).
After receiving an affidavit attesting to compliance with the UGC (ODL, Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020 and the stipulated fee announced by the Commission, the Commission granted clearance to these HEIs. The UGC will announce the final admission deadline for each academic session, and HEIs will upload the admission information within fifteen days of that date. But the deadline for admission for the January-February 2023 academic semester is 31 March 2023.
There will be only 1 programme available at the Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences in Himachal Pradesh, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Open and ODL format.
3 programmes—Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and Master of Business Administration (MBA)—will be made available by the Vivekananda Global University in Rajasthan in Open and ODL modes.
5 programmes, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Computer Applications (MCA), a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and a Master of Commerce, will be offered in open and online formats by the Galgotias University in Uttar Pradesh (MCom).
