The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) has been postponed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The examinations scheduled for August 26 have been postponed to August 27 because of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts. While the first shift will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 Noon, the Shift 2 will be conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM. A total of seven papers will be held in the two shifts. This includes Philosophy, Hindi, Oriya, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese and Santhali.

The National Testing Agency will soon be releasing the admit card for the examination on the official website. The examination has been scheduled from August 21 to September 4 with nearly nine lakh candidates appearing in the examination.

Once the admit card is issued, candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

How to download the admit card once released?

Step 1: Visit the official website of the UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Click on 'Admit Card for UGC NET 2024'

Step 3: Enter your login credentials to login to your account

Step 4: Download the admit card

Step 5: Take a printout of the admit card

The admit card is an important document to be carried along on the day of the examination. No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall on the day of the examination without proper admit card. Candidates must also carry a valid photo id card along with them to the examination hall.
