The registration for University Grants Commission, National Eligibility Test (NET) December session will be closing on October 28, 2023. The registration for the session commenced on September 30 on the official website of UGC NET. Eligible candidates willing to appear in the exam can submit their application through the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Through this exam the UGC will be determining the eligibility of candidates for the position of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellow & Assistant Professor’ for Indian Universities and colleges. The exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode in 83 subjects.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for the examination must have obtained a minimum of 55 per cent marks in their Masters to apply for the exam.
The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates with at least 50 per cent marks in their Masters degree will be eligible for the exam.
Application Fee
The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1150 while for EWS and OBC candidates it is Rs 600. On the other hand, SC, ST and Third gender candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 325.

Step 3: Enter all necessary information and complete the registration process
Step 4: Upload all necessary documents
Step 5: Pay the Application fees
Step 6: Download and take a print out of the application for future reference
The exam will be held from December 6 to December 22, throughout the country.
