National Testing Agency, NTA has issued an important notice detailing the upper age limit for UGC NET December 2022. The upper age limit has been updated by the Agency for JRF. Applicants can access the official notice directly by visiting the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in.
The Agency has even updated the upper age limit for JRF after receiving requests from applicants to fix the last date for calculating the age limit to apply for JRF.
According to the official notice, the NET Bureau of UGC (vide Letter No.4-1/2019(NET/NTA) dated 02 January 2023) has requested NTA to fix the upper age limit for applying for JRF as 01.12.2022 instead of 01.02.2023.
Taking the same in consideration the Agency has decided that the last date for determining the upper age limit to apply for JRF is 01.12.2022 for December 2022 UGC-NET.
The OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and women applicants will further be granted a relaxation of up to 5 years for appearing for the examinations. Furthermore, relaxation will also be given to candidates having research experience and in other categories that are available on notice.
The last date to apply for the examination is 17 January, 2023. Applicants applying must pay their fees latest by 18 January 2023. The examination will take place from 21 February to 10 March, 2023.
