UGC NET 2023: National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the UGC NET 2023 June Session Registrations from 10 May 2023 on the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
The UGC NET June Exam 2023 will be held from 13 June to 22 June 2023. The NTA will hold the exam in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 83 different subjects. The UGC NET June Exam will be conducted for determining the eligibility for a Junior Research Fellowship along with the post of Assistant Professor across central and state universities. Candidates who are interested to apply must fulfill the eligibility requirements set by the official authorities.
UGC NET 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit
- Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age for the position of Junior Research Fellow
- Up to 5 years of age relaxation are provided to women and candidates belonging to reserved categories for the post of Junior Research Fellow
- If a candidate has an LLM degree, he/she/they will get an age relaxation of 3 years
- For the post of Assistant Professor, there is no age limit/restriction
UGC NET 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have completed postgraduation from UGC recognised university/college with an aggregate of 55%
- For candidates who belong to reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST) must have 50% aggregate marks in the postgraduate examination
- Candidates with a postgraduate degree or certificate from an Indian university or institute or a foreign degree or certificate from a foreign university or institute should, in their own best interests, confirm that their diploma, degree, or certificate is equivalent to a master's degree from one of the reputable Indian universities by contacting the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
- It is advised that candidates select the same NET subject for Paper 2 as their postgraduate area of concentration. If your post-graduate degree is not one of the 83 subjects listed for the NET, you can still take the test in a similar field.
- Candidates appearing for the final year PG 2020 examination are also eligible to apply for UGC NET exam
- The candidate does not need to take the UGC NET 2023 test if they passed the SET exam for Assistant Professor before the first of June 2002.
- The candidate does not need to take the UGC NET 2023 test if they passed the SET exam for Assistant Professor before 1 June 2002.
