The 4-year undergraduate programmes' first-semester syllabi, which are based on the recently introduced Under Graduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF), were accepted by Delhi University on Thursday. The Executive Council, the varsity's top decision-making body, made the decision.

However, Rajpal Singh Pawar and Seema Das, two council members, disagreed with the choice. “FYUP syllabi of all courses on agenda have been passed by the executive council. Two members issued dissent note,” a council member told PTI.

Beginning with the academic year 2022–2023, the new curriculum will be followed. After the Academic Council approved the syllabus on August 3, it was submitted to the Executive Council for approval.

The Undergraduate Curriculum Framework for 2022 (UGCF-2022), developed by a cell of the National Education Policy, had been authorised by the Executive Council in February.

Over 100 undergraduate course syllabi approved by a standing committee were laid up for discussion during the meeting.

The list of courses includes BSc in Electronic Science, BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, BA (Hons) in Business Economics, and BA (Hons) in Multi-Media and Mass Communication.

The course committees that created the syllabi approved them with the help of a standing committee. 5 academics comprise a course committee: 2 from the relevant department and 3 from other universities.
