Noida-based The Design Village (TDV) has joined hands with international design and architecture research centre Domaine De Boisbuchet, France to offer its students exposure to a global, multicultural environment.
Through the collaboration, the two institutions aim to create a clear roadmap for academic and cultural exchange.
The collaboration is set to provide a vision of future innovations and stimulate the imaginations and thoughts of the students, TDV said in a press communique. The goals of the MoU will be achieved through a plan of action which includes student engagement opportunities, collaborative projects and research & development (R&D) efforts within the design thinking framework.
Speaking about the formal association between TDV and Domaine de Boisbuchet, Mridu Sahai, co-founder, TDV, said, “The Design Village is now Domaine de Boisbuchet’s exclusive India partner. The cooperation aims to enhance cultural exchange in the field of art, architecture and design.”
The institute in France was conceived as a designer’s residency and the centre for design research and innovation was established in 1986. The 150-hectare facility in southwest France is nestled in the lap of nature and it comprises an architectural park of historic and contemporary buildings. Each year the Domaine de Boisbuchet hosts a week-long workshop to which inspiring architects and designers from around the world are invited.
Students of TDV are set to benefit from exposure to the exclusive partnership that will provide global opportunities to them.
