Techno India Group (TIG) recently hosted the Choose France Tour 2022 in association with Campus France India and the French Institute in India (IFI) which saw participation of 14 French institutions in an academic conference and a students’ fair.
Goutam Roy Chowdhury, the founder and chairman of TIG, supported ‘Choose France Tour’ as it aims to create a platform where every student can be endorsed with a good career as France offers a great multicultural study experience, bringing together cultures from all over the world.
The entire event was divided into two segments – an academic conference and a student fair. Certain departments from Techno India University and Techno Main Salt Lake made individual presentations considering some key domains like the adaptation of outcome-based education (OBE) and the National Education Policy (NEP) at departmental and institution levels. They also focused on students’ outflow for higher education and exchange programmes and the adaptation of emerging technologies at departmental and institutional levels.
The objective behind the event was to highlight the strengths, achievements and synergies and initiate collaborations at the departmental level. Additionally, the visiting French institutions briefly introduced themselves during the conference.
The students’ fair that opened in the afternoon saw a large crowd of learners who met representatives of French institutions and companies. The face-to-face personalised advice and guidance from the representatives from these institutions proved to be beneficial for the students. The motto of arranging the fair was to provide information on studies in France, procedures, visas, scholarships and the French language, among other vital topics.
“France has always been a world-class economic power and I feel that the country offers a great multicultural study experience, bringing together cultures from all over the world. Techno India University in collaboration with the universities of France has indeed created a platform where every student of ours can be benefited. Our aim has always been to spread quality education, and we have always tried to meet all ends in enriching the lives of our students,” said Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, co-chairman of TIG.
Pauline Laravoire, the founder of Y-east and the director sustainability at TIG; along with Didier Talpain, the consul general of France in Kolkata; Fabien Chareix, the attaché for Scientific and Academic Cooperation at IFI; and Nicolas Facino, the director of Alliance Française du Bengale were present on the occasion.
“At Techno India we are aiming to do so where we are offering multiple opportunities to study abroad, especially countries like France which has strong allies with India both in terms of diplomatic and economic cooperation. We have always looked forward to outdoing beyond the normal, and to do so our students need to dare to take the leap and study abroad for their personal and professional development,” said Meghdut Roychowdhury, the executive director and chief innovation officer at TIG.
Pauline Laravoire said, “It is tremendously important for us at Techno India Group to make sure that we offer multiple opportunities to study abroad, especially in countries such as France which has strong diplomatic and economic ties with India, which offers so many qualitative educational opportunities. It is our duty to provide exhaustive information and full support to our students so that they dare to take the leap and go study abroad for their own personal and professional development."
