The Tata Crucible Campus Quiz — one of India’s leading business quizzes for youngsters — is back with its 18th edition. Registrations have begun from February 7 and will continue till March 7.
The competition will repeat its online format owing to the ongoing pandemic. The organisers have implemented certain protocols and methods to ensure fair play and transparency throughout the event.
“The Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, true to its long-term legacy of positive transformation among the younger generation, continues to celebrate knowledge and provides a wide platform to students across the country. We feel reinforcing global competence is vital for individuals to thrive in the rapidly changing world and this quiz is an attempt to make our younger generation future-ready. Through the digital space, we are confident that we will be able to connect and engage with the quiz participants on a much larger and wider scale,” said Adrian Terron, vice-president, Corporate Brand and Marketing, Tata Sons.
In this competition, the participants will be competing individually through a series of two preliminary rounds, 24 Cluster Finals, four Zonal Finals and one National Final.
Participants from across the country will be divided into 24 clusters. After the two preliminary rounds, the top 12 participants from each cluster will take part in a wild card round, from which the top six will be selected for the Actual Cluster Final. The 24 clusters will be grouped into zones of six clusters each (North, South, East and West).
After the Actual Cluster Final, the winner from each cluster will participate in the Zonal Final. The four winners of the Zonal Finals (one from each zone) will qualify directly to the National Finals, leaving the runners-up to play a Wild Card Round. Out of the four runners-up, two will be selected for the National Finals.
The six finalists, comprising four winners from Zonal Finals and two from the Zonal Wild Card Finals, will compete in the National Finals, and the top scorer will be crowned the national champion.
The winner of the grand finale will receive prize money worth Rs 2.5 lakh along with the Tata Crucible Trophy, and the winners and the runners up from the Cluster Finals will win Rs 35,000 and Rs 18,000 respectively. Acclaimed quizmaster Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaniam will be hosting the event.
