The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has started the registration process for the Teacher Recruitment Exam of 2023 (TN TRE 2023). Aspiring candidates can register for the examination on the official website, trb.tn.nic.in, with the window remaining open until November 30, 2023.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 2,222 vacancies for graduate teachers and block resource teacher educators (BRTE). The written examination for TN TRE 2023 is scheduled to take place on January 7, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have successfully passed the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) paper 2.
- Candidates belonging to the unreserved category should not exceed 53 years of age. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for applicants from SC, ST, BC Muslims, BC, MBC/DNC, and DW categories, allowing them to be up to 58 years old.
Candidates applying for the TN TRE 2023 should meet one of the following conditions:
- Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor in Education
- Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in compliance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations
- Higher secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd)
- Higher secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a four-year BA/BSc-Ed or BAEd/BScEd
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and BEd (Special Education)
- Applicants should have obtained a degree or its equivalent in the subjects or languages they are applying for.
Application Fee:
Candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable examination fee of ₹600. However, individuals belonging to SC, SCA, ST, and differently abled categories will need to submit an application fee of ₹300.
The online payment can be made exclusively through the payment gateway, using methods such as net banking, credit card, or debit card.
Candidates will receive an SMS alert confirming the successful payment of the application fee on their registered mobile numbers.
