The Tamil Nadu SSLC (class 10), HSE +1 (class 11), and HSE +2 (class 12) board exam dates will be officially announced today, October 14, according to the state's School Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh. In a social media post, the minister confirmed that the exam schedule for the 2024 academic year will be released following the advice of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The detailed timetables for the Tamil Nadu Class 10, 11, and 12 public examinations will be available on the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) official website dge.tn.gov.in. These exams are typically conducted in March and April.
Last year, a total of 8,94,264 students appeared for the Tamil Nadu SSLC exams, with a pass rate of 91.55%. Of those who passed, 4,22,591 were girls, marking a higher success rate compared to 3,96,152 boys.
For the HSE +1 final exam, 8,11,172 students appeared, and 91.17% passed. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 94.69% compared to 87.26%.
Meanwhile, for the HSE +2 final exam, out of 7,60,606 candidates, 94.56% successfully cleared the exams. The performance of female students continued to shine, with 96.44% of girls passing, compared to 92.37% of boys. Additionally, one third gender candidate passed the exam.
